Welcome To the Troop 301 Webpage! BSA Troop 301 is chartered in Belmont, CA. Our troop meetings are held in Tierra Linda Middle School in San Carlos, CA.  We are in the Redwood District of the Pacific Skyline Council.

We have approximately 50 Scouts in our Troop and we meet three Mondays a month at 7:30pm at Tierra Linda Middle School in San Carlos. We have at least one outing scheduled for every month. Our outdoor program has an emphasis on variety and includes; backpacking, rock climbing, day hikes, winter camping, deep snow camping, snowboarding & skiing, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, summer camps, 50-miler treks and Philmont treks. Our Troop 301 Mission Statement is: As a Boy Scout Troop we will:

  1. Strive to follow the Scout Oath, Law, and Motto in our daily lives.
  2. Emphasize a boy led program with a variety of outdoor activities.
  3. Promote youth self-sufficiency in the wilderness and at home.
  4. Produce confident leaders who can lead by example.

More Scouts Again Needed for Service Project with Redwood Symphony on June 2nd

Scouts Needed!! 
Here is one last chance this year to (1) have fun while doing a good turn, (2) get good scouting PR and provide a helpful community service (and log the service time), (3) be the "Boss of Parking"; and (4) hear some great music while completing reqirement 3(a) for the Music merit badge all in one short evening.  Oh, and did we mention free snacks???

T61 Rock Climbing Trip

Troop 61 is planning a climbing trip to Castle Rock, and they currently have 7 slots open. Price is $75, scouts bring their own lunch and water. They are planning on meeting at Sandpiper School @ 8:00 a.m. and returning about 4:00 p.m. Visit the Outback Adventures site

Summer Camp - Merit Badge Selection

For those registered for Summer Camp Wente, we've posted the merit badge class schedule in the Registration section of the website home page.  The pre-requisites can be found on pages 28-29 of the Camp Wente Leader Guide found here: http://www.sfbac.org/camping/resident/WSR  Select classes by May 15th for priority registration.

Preston Downing from our Troop and his family are still battling things out right now, and Troop 301 support is still needed.  As most of our Troop knows, Preston has been battling a chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), as well as a number serious side-effects and complications.  We need a few minutes from everyone in the Troop 301 family to help offer emotional support for Preston and his family (read more)
