Welcome To the Troop 301 Webpage! BSA Troop 301 is chartered in Belmont, CA. Our troop meetings are held at the Good Shephed Episcopal Church in Belmont, CA.  We are in the Redwood District of the Pacific Skyline Council.

We have approximately 30 Scouts in our Troop and we meet three Mondays a month at 7:30pm at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church on 1300 5th Ave, Belmont. We have at least one outing scheduled for every month. Our outdoor program has an emphasis on variety and includes; backpacking, rock climbing, day hikes, winter camping, deep snow camping, snowboarding & skiing, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, summer camps, 50-miler treks and Philmont treks. Our Troop 301 Mission Statement is: As a Boy Scout Troop we will:

  1. Strive to follow the Scout Oath, Law, and Motto in our daily lives.
  2. Emphasize a boy led program with a variety of outdoor activities.
  3. Promote youth self-sufficiency in the wilderness and at home.
  4. Produce confident leaders who can lead by example.

Conservation Service Opportunity

Here's an opportunity to get some conservation service hours done with trailcenter.org on Saturday, August 20th:

Portola Redwoods State Park on the Coyote Ridge Trail. This is the perfect place to get away from scorching heat on the Peninsula. Come join us to fix this trail!

IMPORTANT: Sign-Ups Needed for July 29/30 Events

Next weekend, the troop will present the opening flag ceremony for a local Relay For Life event being held Saturday morning at 10am at Carlmont High School.  Participating scouts need to sign up ASAP, and will be expected to arrive by 9:45am.  The event supports our chartering organization, the San Carlos Kiwanis Club, who are sponsoring the event which raises funds and awareness for cancer research.

Also that weekend is the annual PLC Planning retreat weekend. Incoming PLC members should sign up and coordinate with Spencer Anderson about planning.
